The Price Of Peace Casts Guy Pearce and Jared Harris as Truman and Churchill

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Guy Pearce (The Brutalist), Jared Harris (Chernobyl), and Merab Ninidze (Conclave) have joined the political thriller The Price Of Peace, directed by Anthony McCarten. The project will be presented at the European Film Market.
The new film from the Oscar-nominated director of Darkest Hour, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Theory of Everything, and The Two Popes chronicles the consequences of the Potsdam Conference in July 1945 and the defeat of Nazi Germany.
President Harry S. Truman, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Soviet leader Joseph Stalin convene at the conference to shape the future of Europe and the world. Each man brings his own political agenda: Truman, newly appointed, must end the war with Japan; Churchill faces a pivotal election; and Stalin plans for occupied territories. Rising political tensions and crises set the stage for a high-stakes diplomatic chess game.
Guy Pearce will portray Truman, Jared Harris takes on Churchill, and Merab Ninidze plays Stalin. Filming is scheduled to begin next summer in London and Potsdam.
